Nathan Pfahler to Lead Rainmakers East

In this role he will provide direction to the hub and coordinate the East activities. He will report regularly to the Rainmaker management team.

Elegant Funk Exhibit to Feature Area Artists

(INDIANAPOLIS)— Elegant Funk announced its roster of artists for the upcoming First Friday event on Friday, August 1.

On August 1, ELEGANT FUNK will be a part of the IDADA First Friday lineup, featuring artists from around Central Indiana. The event will be held from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm at wUG LAKU’S STUDIO & gARAGE, 1125 Brookside Ave. Suite C7 in the Circle City Industrial Complex. Original works of art will include paintings, photography, sculpture, and jewelry. The majority of the submitted pieces will be for sale.

Notable artists will include Todd Bracik, Amber Davis, Nancy Digman, Wug Laku, Pat Mack, Sally Mills, Kate Oberreich, Lauren Oosterlinck, Mark Pack, and Tom Willhoite. There are a total of 24 artists who will be featured that night.

ELEGANT FUNK will provide a unique opportunity for artist members of Smaller Indiana to showcase their work in a professional urban/industrial gallery space,” said Laku. “We’re showcasing painters, sculptors, and jewelry designers, as well as offering wine tasting from Mass Ave Wine Shoppe, food, music, and a chance to meet other arts supporters in the area.”

“Safety First” for Your Aging Parents

Alzheimer’s is a serious disease that affects 4.5 million people per year in the United States, and nearly 14,000 in metropolitan Indianapolis.

It is said that by 2010 this disease is going to affect over 5.5 million people. For many families, this presents numerous challenges, not the least of which is a concern for their safety.

Recent research shows that an educated family member will help those with the disease to stay at home safely a year an a half longer than if they were being cared for by an uneducated caregiver.

Rainmakers Announces South Advance Orientation
